Now Hiring - Workers Welcome

Come to our offices at 2515 Western Avenue (between Wall and Vine Streets) in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood on Tuesdays, from 8 am to 10 am.  Bring government-issued photo identification and your Social Security card.  You will fill out an application form, and do a short interview.  Then you will need to attend an orientation on Wednesday morning.  Now you're eligible to work through our temporary staffing agency -- daily, short term, or long term jobs.  Sign in for work on the days you are available for a job, at the MCC, Monday through Saturday, between 6 and 8:00 a.m. You can also sign up in advance for shifts in our events program.  Your pay checks are issued once a week.  It's that easy!

Frequently Asked Questions For Workers

How do I register?
Come to our facility at 2515 Western Avenue (between Vine and Wall Streets) in Seattle, between 8 and 10 AM any Tuesday morning.  The Employment Office staff will assist you with the process, which includes a national and local background check, completion of an application form and a job skills assessment.

What should I bring to register in the program?
You'll need a valid photo ID (state or military) and a Social Security card or birth certificate to prove you are eligible to work in the United States.

What time should I show up to check in for work?
After you've received your Millionair Club Charity photo ID card, you can sign in for day labor any morning, Monday through Saturday, between 6 and 8 a.m. You can also sign up in advance for shifts in our events program. 

How will I get to my job?
You'll get a work order every time you're sent to a job. On the work order you'll see what bus to take to the job site. We expect you to get to your job on time. We will provide bus fare to your job.

What kind of work will I be doing?
Many of the jobs are outside. They may include yardwork, moving, and more. Sometimes contractors need help with construction work, including carpentry, demolition, drywall, painting, and hauling debris. Inside work may include cleaning, warehouse work, assembly, or dishwashing/kitchen prep. Please be prepared to work in all types of weather. How much will I be paid?
You will be paid $13 per hour and will be paid once a week for the previous week of work.  Our Agency (day labor) workers get paid on Wednesdays; our Event workers get paid on Fridays.
